Meet Dr. Chris

Christopher Nakamura, DDS

Dr. Chris was born and raised in Colorado. He graduated from Pomona High School as valedictorian and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado with honors. He was awarded his D.D.S. degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Upon completing dental school, Dr. Chris completed an Advanced Education in Dentistry residency at Kokua Kalihi Valley in Honolulu, Hawaii.

After working with children throughout his dental career, Dr. Chris realized he wanted to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry. He received his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry from NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Bangor, Maine and Phoenix, Arizona, serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Chris then returned to Hawaii and his extended ohana. For the past 5 years he has enjoyed serving the island's keiki as a Board Certified pediatric dentist.

“As a pediatric dentist, I’ve had the unique opportunity to interact with a large patient pool of children and teenagers. I have come to realize my passion is the pediatric population and my positive patient connection is important because one’s lifelong perception of dental care is often molded by initial childhood visits.”
